I've now been here twice, and each experience has been very enjoyable. As other reviewers have noted when you first walk into this beautiful environment you are transported out of the bustling city and into a cozy den of relaxation. I had no problem booking two traditional massages early afternoon on a thursday for a friends birthday. Remember to speak quietly, as the massage room is only a few feet from the reception area. The ladies are very friendly and kind. You are immediately given a cup of lemongrass tea and given a few minutes to sit and collect your thoughts before being brought into your 'bunk' for your services. The women might be slight of build, but they are very strong. Both times I have requested a light to medium pressure and I still feel as though they have 'gotten in there' and really worked me over. I have never been disappointed. Try the thai herbal massage, you will enjoy every moment. . . .

I'm so impressed.
Larry was hired by the building to replace the funky carpeted hallways in the corridors and also to power wash, stain, and refinish the deck off both of our bedrooms. Larry and his crew were always friendly and smiling while hard at work. The crew was so nice they even carted my groceries out of the elevator when I came home early one afternoon and they were finishing up the slate floors. They have done an excellent job. Very efficient high quality work. I hardly heard a peep while they were in the building. Hire Larry at Paragon Management Consulting for your next project-even if it's a simple one. You won't be disappointed. . .

I stopped by to kill some time before having a pedi next door.
I like the neighborhood feel of this place. Service was friendly and I was able to unwind a bit with my book and a small pot of jasmine green tea. I didn't try any of the menu offerings, but the sandwiches and bagels being served look yummy. A few people were hanging out with their laptops and others were coming in after a morning run at nearby Dolores Park. Lots of space and a warm atmosphere. . .

Great fresh items.
Original rolls.
Snarky decor.
Needs more ventilation!
Sit at the bar and you'll be able to have a conversation
without straining your voice, save it for whispering
sweet nothings in the ear of your admirer later in the evening.
Especially if they have picked up the tab.
Order lots of sake(I like that they let you pick out your sake cups)
and be sure to order the baked mussels-they are divine. . .

I don't like it when the general population can touch all over utensils.
I generally don't go to buffets.
I stay away from the samples at Costco.
If 'kid-hands' have helped to prepare a meal I usually pass.
I
Have
Issues!
Lately I've been on a fro-yo kick, and places have been popping up all over the city. Every week is a new adventure. Since the reviews were great, I wanted to give Icebee a try. I stopped in on a evening and the little place wasn't that busy. The decor is bright and lively. And the cute little place was very clean. What a great assortment of flavors and fresh fruit toppings. Creamy tart yogurt at .43 cents per oz. With generous servings of kiwi, strawberry, pineapple, and perfect mini mochi balls the grand total for my sweet treat was about $7.00!?!!
And every yummy bite was worth it.
My new therapy to help work out my issues, I came back two days later. . .

I work a few blocks away so it was no problem for me to stop in the morning of the grand opening and make it to my weekly meeting scheduled at 8:30. Or so I thought, let's just say the grand opening was nothing short of a disaster. The opening was delayed by about 10 mins due to a problem with one of the menu screens. I could see the owner buzzing around and he seemed very stressed out. He should have just apologized for the inconveniences early on. We understand, it's your first day of business, we'll cut you some slack. I believe his stress was definitely transferred to his staff. Lots of employees on hand, but most of them were very overwhelmed and had no idea of what to do.
Two people to ring me up? One person to pull the machine handle then the cup gets weighed before being handed off to another employee for toppings?! This is madness! I ended up waiting 15minutes for one small fro-yo! When I finally did have my sweet treat in hand I was impressed. This is a very nice product. I got a small strawberry with kiwi pieces. As other reviews have noted the yogurt is sweet yet has a tart finish. And the consistency paired with the temperature feels wonderful on the tongue. Not at all worth the wait if your taking a quick break from work. If your going to do business in the FIDI where time is money then you have to be 'on your game'. And you SoGreen have a long way to go. . .
The ladies and I were so excited to 'officially' give Orson a try after the
yelp event. We arrived literally looking hot and sweaty as this was a
wonderfully warm evening smack in the middle of our sf heat wave.

We visited for cocktail hour, Kristina was on it making sure we were sufficiently hydrated as soon as we sat at our table. After all, this is cocktail hour, so um, bring on the drinks! We were there specifically for duck fat french fries in all their glory served with browned butter barnaise, lots of gossip and multiple cocktails. But we were informed that due to the special tasting menu offered that evening the usual menu items were not being served.(to coincide with sf cocktail week)
:(
We were crushed. We were saddened. We were ready to walk. "Let me see what we can do for you" said Kristina and we knew she would come through for us. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our party-even providing dishes not usually listed on the menu. We were oh-so-impressed by the attentive service. The G.M. even stopped by our table to make sure we were satisfied.
We ladies consumed more than the recommended share of daiquiris-expertly crafted with flor de cana rum, lime, and simple syrup. A few also sampled the Southside, sort of a deconstructed mojito with gin and lemon. During cocktail hour take your pick from a menu of 6 drinks each offered for $5. These cocktails pack a punch, and are the perfect antidote to the sweltering city heat. But watch out, they WILL have you on your ass. This is a fun, sexy spot to kick back and enjoy time with a few of your fave friends. The staff eye-candy, strong cocktails, and expertly mixed background music makes for an irresistible sensual trifecta. No doubt, we plan to return very soon. . .

Yelp Elite Event @ Orson
Category: Local Flavor
Neighborhood: SOMA
The yelp wonder girls-Connie, Nicole, Jessica, Richard, Candice(and omg even Miriam) rocked this event, and looked DAMN GOOD doing it. Kudos to you for making it all seem so effortless. From the moment we entered we were blown away with Orson. "It's just so pretty" was the remark from someone in our crew. The setup of the stations; K&L wine merchants, yelp schwag area, lounge area, photo booth, etc., was perfect and made great use of this beautiful space. Unlike lots of events this one was not too crowded. Which made it easy to maneuver around the bar, order a cocktail, and flirt shamelessly across the room. I enjoyed the nice balance of "old" and "new" yelpers, and had witty conversations with great folks. Thanks to Elizabeth Falkner and her staff who were very personable, helpful and just plain nice. We were so impressed that we will return later in the week for cocktail hour. Can't wait. . . .

I work in the area and have strolled past this shop numerous times.
I dropped by early in the evening on friday looking for a nice Bourbon as a gift for an upcoming birthday. Lucy was friendly and cheerful. She directed me towards the very well stocked and a bit overwhelming selections on display. She answered my millions of questions and grabbed another employee who knew a bit more about Bourbons when she wasn't sure about a particular item. The other employee(didn't get his name. But tall, glasses, cute) was clocked out for the day and on his way out of the shop. He stayed to make sure I got all the information I needed. What a sweetheart! After I made up my mind Lucy wrapped and insulated the bottle for me for easy Bart transport. I will be back, as I am a Rummy and they have a very impressive selection of rare and imported rums. Come by and check out John Walker & Company you won't be disappointed. Now, if they only had tastings I would be in heaven. . .
